GETTING THERE

DIRECTION BY TRAINS, PLANE & AUTOMOBILES

AIRPORT TRANSFER

Inbound: 16.00 is the suggested deadline for any arrival flight, allowing us to get everyone down to Cortona just in time for an evening meal. We try to keep waiting to a minimum but we can make no guarantees. For example, if your flight lands at 13.00 and we have other arrivals landing at 16.00, the transfer is likely to set off at around 16.30.

Homebound: 12.00 noon is the earliest we’d like you to book for a departure flight. On the day of departure, we build in approximately 4 ½ hours from the taxi departing Cortona to your flight departure time.

Please Check with Us Before Confirming Your Flights.

Please be aware that waiting for other guests arriving on different flights can be unavoidable. We ask that you do not request a transfer unless you are comfortable with the possibility of having to wait at either airport.

Pisa Arrivals: The pick-up point will be sent to you prior to you arrival via our whatsapp group.

Florence Arrivals: If you arrive on earlier flights and have some time to kill, we suggest you either wait at the airport or make your own way into the city centre for a wander. Make sure to be back at Florence airport in time, in order for the taxi to pass by and pick you up, approx. an hour after having left Pisa airport. The pick-up point is just outside ‘ARRIVALS’.

Pisa and Florence Hotels: Many guests choose to tag on a short stay in one of the two cities at one end of their holiday. Being in Florence/Pisa at the start of your holiday means you can make your way to the transfer point at your leisure. Booking into a Florence/Pisa hotel at the end of your stay means you can relax at the end of your holiday.

Pisa public transport: Cheap and efficient with a change at the train station in Florence before continuing on to Camucia/Cortona.

Florence public transport: Cheap and efficient with no change from Florence’s main train station.

You can check out both options at https://www.trenitalia.com/it.html
